Ingredients:

| cup | Cake Flour | | 1/4
| cup | Baking Powder | | 2 1/2
| cup | Vegetable Shortening | | 6
| cup | Sugar | | 1 1/2
| tsp | Salt |

Procedures:
| 1 | In a large bowl, sift together cake flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. | | 2 | Mix well with a pastry blender, cut in shortening until the mixture is as fine as cornmeal. | | 3 | Put in a large airtight container. | | 4 | Label as basic cake mix and store in a cool dry place. | | 5 | Use with 10 to 12 weeks. | | 6 | Makes about 16 cups of mix |
