Ingredients:
  • 1 cn Pear halves; (425 grams )
  • Undrained
  • 1 cn Peeled tomatoes; (425 grams
  • -)
  • 1 lg Onion; chopped
  • 1 ts Green peppercorns; rinsed OR
  • 1/8 ts Cayenne pepper
  • 8 Lean pork steaks or
  • -medallions
  • A little oil
  • 1 Thick bread slices
  • Garlic cloves; cut in 1/2
Procedures:
1. Combine pear halves, peeled tomatoes, chopped onion, peppercorns or
cayenne pepper together in saucepan.

2. Cook over high heat for 10 minutes. Place in food processor, blend
coarsely, to create a relish. Heat a little oil in a heavy plain or ribbed
pan, until hot.

3. Cook pork, 2 to 3 minutes on each side, brushing with some relish.

4. Serve as illustrated on oil-brushed pan-fried thick bread slices, rubbed
with garlic.
