| large | Cantaloupe -- very ripe | | 3/4
| cup | Sugar -- divided use | | 3
| large | Eggs -- separated | | 2
| tbsp | Butter | | | Baked pie shell |

Procedures:
| 1 | Peel, seed, and dice melon. | | 2 | In a medium sauce pan mix ?the sugar with melon and cook until melon is tender and soft; mash melon. | | 3 | Mix flour with remaining sugar; add beaten egg yolks and butter. | | 4 | Mix in mashed melon. | | 5 | Pour into pie shell and cover with meringue made from the egg whites. | | 6 | Brown meringue in oven. | | 7 | Cool pie. | | 8 | Recipe from unknown source |
