Ingredients:
2 lbsSteak
2 Onions, finely chopped
2 tbspBrown sugar
2 tbspSalt
1/2 tbspPepper
1 pinchCayenne
2 tbspCapers, chopped
2 tbspMixed herbs, including
-thyme, sage and oregano
1/3 cupKetchup (or tomato sauce
-in the Australian sense
-if you can get it)
2 tbspWorcestershire sauce
1/3 cupVinegar
Procedures:
1Trim the steak and cut into pieces.
2Place in an ovenproof dish and cover with the chopped blend other ingredients together and pour over.
3(the chopped onion holds some of the liquid).
4Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours.
5Bake, covered with foil or ovenproof lid, at 350 °F.
6For 50 to 60 minutes.
