| cup | Pecans, chopped | | 1
| | Egg, beaten | | 1
| tbsp | Butter, melted | | 1 1/2
| tbsp | Cornstarch | | 1/4
| tsp | Salt | | 1/2
| cup | Sugar | | 1
| tbsp | Butter |

Procedures:
| 1 | Drain cherries, reserving liquid. | | 2 | Mix 1 cup sugar, flour, soda, cinnamon, 1/8 tsp. salt, and pecans in small bowl. | | 3 | Combine egg, cherries, and 1 tablespoon butter in medium bowl. | | 4 | Stir in flour mixture pour into lightly greased 9x12-inch baking dish. | | 5 | Bake at 350 °F for 45 minutes. | | 6 | Add enough water to reserved cherry liquid to equal 1 cup. | | 7 | Combine with cornstarch, ?tsp. salt, and ?cup sugar in saucepan. | | 8 | Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly. | | 9 | Stir in 1 tablespoon butter until melted. | | 10 | Cut cake into squares to serve; spoon sauce over cake. | | 11 | Garnish with whipped cream. |
