Plum ice cream

Ingredients:
1 cupRipe plums, peeled, chopped
1/4 cupSugar
Sweet cream Base
Procedures:
1If you really like plums, this is the flavor to try.
2The recipe works well with any variety of plum, as long as it"s fresh ( and ripe!) combine the plums and sugar in a bowl and mash until pureed.
3Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.
4Prepare the sweet cream base.
5Drain the juice from the plums into the cream base and blend.
6Return the plum puree to the refrigerator.
7Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and freeze following manufacturer"s instructions.
8After the ice cream stiffens ( about 2 minutes before it is done) add the plum puree, then continue freezing until the ice cream is ready.
9Makes 1 generous quart
