Celestial peach sundae

Ingredients:
4 Scoops vanilla ice cream
8 Peach halves, can/fresh
Candied ginger, chopped/opt
GINGER-WALNUT SAUCE
1 cupLight corn syrup
1/4 cupBrown sugar, packed
3 tbspButter or margarine
1 cupCoarsely chopped walnuts
1/4 cupChopped candied ginger
4 tbspSouthern Comfort liqueur
Procedures:
1Place the ice cream in 4 sundae dishes and place in the freezer.
2Combine all the sauce ingredients (except the peach liqueur) in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
3Cook rapidly for about 3 minutes.
4Top ice cream with 2 peach halves and spoon ginger-walnut sauce over each sundae.
5Spoon on 1 tbls. of southern comfort over peach halves and sprinkle with a little chopped candied ginger, if desired
