| 2 | In a large bowl mix sugar, mayonaise and vanilla until well blended. |
| 3 | Stir in flour mixture and add ?cup pecans. |
| 4 | (dough will be thick and sticky). |
| 5 | Press into well greased 8 inch square baking pan. |
| 6 | Sprinkle with remaining nuts and press into dough. |
| 7 | Bake in 350 °F oven 15 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean. |
| 8 | Cool in pan on rack. |
| 9 | Cookies are soft while hot but firm when cool. |
| 10 | Cut into about 12 squares |
