Frosty lime sherbert

Ingredients:
1 3 oz pkg lime-flavored gelat
1 cupHot water
1/2 cupSugar
1 1/2 cupMilk
1 13 oz can evaporated milk
1/4 cupFresh lime juice
2 tbspGrated lime peel
2 Green food coloring
Procedures:
1Recipe by: home cooking magazine, april 95 in a medium bowl, dissovle gelatin in hot water.
2Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
3Stir in milk, evaporated milk, lime juice, peel and food coloring.
4Pour into an 8-inch square dish or 2 refrigerator trays.
5Freeze 2 to 3 hours, or until firm.
6When completely frozen, break into chunks with wooden spoon and turn into a chilled bowl.
7Beat with an electric mixer, on high, until fluffy and smooth.
8Return quickly to cold dish or trays and freeze firm.
9Cover with foil when frozen.
10This will keep several weeks.
11Serve plain or with fruit.
