Angel biscuits

Ingredients:
1 Cake yeast
3 tspBaking powder
2 tbspLukewarm water
4 tbspSugar
5 cupPlain flour
1 tspSalt
1 tspSoda
1 cupShortening
2 cupButtermilk
Procedures:
1Dissolve yeast in water.
2Into a bowl, sift flour with other dry ingredients.
3Cut in shortening, add buttermilk, then add yeast mixture.
4Stir until all flour is dampened.
5Knead on floured board a minute, roll to desired thickness, and cut with a biscuit cutter.
6Bake at 400 degrees about 12 minutes.
7Dough may be kept refrigerated and used about a week
