| cup | Oatmeal | | 1
| cup | Wheat flakes | | 1
| cup | Rye flakes | | 1
| cup | Bran | | 1/2
| cup | Raisins | | 1/2
| cup | Dried apricots, chopped | | 1/2
| cup | Dates, chopped | | 1
| cup | Dried apples, chopped | | 1/2
| cup | Cashews, chopped | | 1/2
| cup | Sunflower seeds, raw | | 1/2
| cup | Honey, raw | | 1/2
| cup | Water, hot | | 1
| tbsp | Vanilla |

Procedures:
| 1 | Recipe by: mcdougall combine all dry ingredients, fruits and nuts in a large bowl. | | 2 | In another bowl, mix the honey, hot water and vanilla. | | 3 | Add to dry ingredients and mix well. | | 4 | Spread a ?inch layer on baking dished and bake in a 250 degree oven for one hour, stirring occasionally. | | 5 | Remove from oven, let cool. | | 6 | Store in covered containers. | | 7 | Helpful hints: nuts may be omitted, use more wheat or rye flakes. | | 8 | Other dried fruits may be substituted for ones suggested. | | 9 | Be sure to stir every 20 minutes or so to keep the granola from sticking or burning |
