Ingredients:
3 cupOatmeal
1 cupWheat flakes
1 cupRye flakes
1 cupBran
1/2 cupRaisins
1/2 cupDried apricots, chopped
1/2 cupDates, chopped
1 cupDried apples, chopped
1/2 cupCashews, chopped
1/2 cupSunflower seeds, raw
1/2 cupHoney, raw
1/2 cupWater, hot
1 tbspVanilla
Procedures:
1Recipe by: mcdougall combine all dry ingredients, fruits and nuts in a large bowl.
2In another bowl, mix the honey, hot water and vanilla.
3Add to dry ingredients and mix well.
4Spread a ?inch layer on baking dished and bake in a 250 degree oven for one hour, stirring occasionally.
5Remove from oven, let cool.
6Store in covered containers.
7Helpful hints: nuts may be omitted, use more wheat or rye flakes.
8Other dried fruits may be substituted for ones suggested.
9Be sure to stir every 20 minutes or so to keep the granola from sticking or burning
