Alehouse brisket

Ingredients:
4 lbsBeef brisket
1/4 tspPepper
1 Envelope dry onion soup mix
1 cupWater
1/3 cupKetchup
1 cupBeer
1 tbspFlour
Procedures:
1Place meat in roasting pan and brown uncovered in oven.
2Season meat with pepper.
3Dissolve onion soup mix in water.
4Mix ketchup and beer together and add to soup mixture.
5Pour mixture over meat.
6Cover pan with foil and roast for 2 hours or until tender.
7Add flour to ?cup pan drippings to make a paste.
8Stir paste into gravy in pan.
9To make a thicker gravy, add more flour.
10Return pan to oven and continue roasting for an additional 30 minutes.
11Slice meat across grain and serve with gravy
