| 1 | Place meat in roasting pan and brown uncovered in oven. |
| 2 | Season meat with pepper. |
| 3 | Dissolve onion soup mix in water. |
| 4 | Mix ketchup and beer together and add to soup mixture. |
| 5 | Pour mixture over meat. |
| 6 | Cover pan with foil and roast for 2 hours or until tender. |
| 7 | Add flour to ?cup pan drippings to make a paste. |
| 8 | Stir paste into gravy in pan. |
| 9 | To make a thicker gravy, add more flour. |
| 10 | Return pan to oven and continue roasting for an additional 30 minutes. |
| 11 | Slice meat across grain and serve with gravy |
