Ingredients:

| | Onion, minced | | 1
| | Clove garlic menced | | 1
| lbs | Ground beef | | 2
| tsp | Shortening | | 1
| med | Can whole tomatoes | | 1
| can | Tomato sauce | | 1
| tsp | Oregano | | 1/4
| tsp | Pepper | | 1/2
| lbs | Lasagna noodles | | 2 1/2
| quart | Boiling water | | 1/2
| lbs | Sliced Mozzarella cheese | | 1
| cup | Cream cottage cheese | | 1/2
| cup | Cheddar cheese |

Procedures:
| 1 | Saute onion, garlic, and meat in shortening about 20 minutes. | | 2 | Add next four ingredients. | | 3 | With 1 tsp salt. | | 4 | Simmer for 40 minutes. | | 5 | Cook noodles with 1 tbsp salt for 20 minutes; drain. | | 6 | Put 1/3 meat mixture in baking dish. | | 7 | Add layer of noodles, add ?cottage cheese, 1/3 mozzarella, and ?cheddar. | | 8 | Repeat layers, ending with remaining meat mixture and top with remaining 1/3 mozzarella cheese |
