Ingredients:
1 Whole fish or lg section
1/4 tspSage
1/2 cupWater
1 Onion, diced
3 cupSm bread cubes
1/2 tspSalt
1/4 lbsMild cheese, grated
3 tbspButter
1 tspDried leaf savory
Sprinkle of pepper
33 tbspFlour seasoned with
-?tsp savory
-?tsp sage
-?tsp salt
Sprinkle of pepper
Procedures:
1Saute onion in butter.
2Add to bread cubes with seasoning, water, and ?of the cheese.
3If too dry, add more water.
4Pack stuffing firmly inside and in front of fish.
5Dredge all over with seasoned flour.
6Bake with ?cup of hot water in bottom of pan until browned and tender, about 50 minutes at 350°F, basting frequently.
7While fish bakes cream 4 tbsp butter with ?cup flour, add juice of 1 lemon or 3 tbsp juice (bottled), 3 tbsp sugar, and 1 ?c water.
8Cook over low heat, stirring until thickened.
9Add to gravy in pan with remaining cheese.
10Baste fish again with thickened gravy
