Ingredients:
1 kgGreen Gooseberries or
-apples, (2 lb)
1/2 tspCayenne Pepper
125 G, ?/td>
1 Whole ginger, chopped and
-pounded
1 kgBrown Sugar, (2 lbs.)
500 gramsRaisins, (1 lb.)
50 gramsSalt, (2 ozs.)
500 gramsDates, (1 lb.)
Vinegar
1 Clove Garlic
Procedures:
1Put apples chopped but not peeled and cored in preserving pan.
2Cover with vinegar.
3Cook until soft then add remainder of ingredients.
4Boil half an hour.
5Put into bottles, cover, and keep twelve months before using
