Ingredients:
| 4
| lbs | Boneless pork roast | | | Salt and pepper | | 1
| each | 12 oz jar cherry preserves | | 1/4
| cup | Red wine vinegar | | 2
| tbsp | Light corn syrup | | 1/4
| tsp | Cinnamon | | 1/4
| tsp | Ground nutmeg | | 1/4
| tsp | Ground cloves | | 1/4
| cup | Toasted slivered almonds |

Procedures:
| 1 | Rub roast with a little salt and pepper. | | 2 | Place on rack in shallow roasting pan. | | 3 | Roast, uncovered at 325 °F for 2-4 hours. | | 4 | Meanwhile, combine preserves, vinegar, syrup, spices and ?teaspoon salt. | | 5 | Heat and stir until boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes. | | 6 | Add almonds. | | 7 | Keep sauce warm. | | 8 | Spoon some sauce over roast to glaze. | | 9 | Return to oven until meat thermometer reads 170 degrees, basting with sauce several times. | | 10 | Remove from oven and let stand ten minutes. | | 11 | Slice roast and pass remaining sauce over slices. | | 12 | Heat and serve |
