| tsp | Baking powder | | 1

| cup | Shortening | | 2
| cup | Buttermilk |

Procedures:
| 1 | Dissolve yeast in warm water. | | 2 | Sift dry ingredients. | | 3 | Cut in shortening, add buttermilk and yeast mixture. | | 4 | Knead on floured board about a minute. | | 5 | Roll to ? - ? and cut in rounds. | | 6 | Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes on greased pan. | | 7 | Place close together. | | 8 | Dough can be kept in refrigerator up to a week covered. | | 9 | Best to let rise slightly |
