Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbsGranny smith apples
4 tbspButter
1/4 cupBrown sugar
1 tspCinnamon, ground, divided
1/2 tspNutmeg, ground
6 largeEggs, room temp.
1 1/2 cupMilk
1 cupFlour
3 tbspSugar
1 tspVanilla extract
1/2 tspSalt
Procedures:
1Recipe by: milwaukee journal peel, core and cut apples into ?inch thick slices (to make about 4 cups).
2In 9 x 13 pan, melt butter in oven at 375 deg.
3Arrange apple slices over melted butter in dish.
4Continue baking until apples are soft, about 10 minutes.
5In small bowl, mix brown sugar with ?ateaspoon of the cinnamon and nutmeg.
6Remove pan from oven; sprinkle apple with sugar mixture; set aside.
7In blender or food processor fitted with a metal blade, blend eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla, salt an remaining ?teaspoon cinnamon.
8Blend until smooth, about 30 seconds.
9Pour over apples in baking pan.
10Return pan to oven; bake at 375 deg 35 minutes, or until top is golden brown and apples rise to surface.
11Remove from oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
12Serve warm.
