| cup | BUTTERMILK | | 1
| tsp | SODA | | 1
| x | EGG | | 1
| x | SPECK OF SALT |

Procedures:
| 1 | Crumb together the flour, sugar and butter. | | 2 | Take out ?cup for topping. | | 3 | Add milk to remaining flour mix add other ingredients and mix well. | | 4 | Place in greased 9 x 13 pan. | | 5 | Sprinkle topping over the top. | | 6 | Bake at 350 deg f for 40 minutes. | | 7 | Serve from baking pan, hot or cold |
