| lbs | Onions, chopped | | 3
| oz | General purpose flour | | 30 1/2
| oz | Canned tomatoes, crushed | | 1/5
| oz | Mace, ground -or Nutmeg | | 1/8
| oz | Salt | | 1/2
| tsp | Pepper |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cook beef with onions in its own fat until beef loses its pink color, stirring to break apart. | | 2 | Drain or skim off excess fat. | | 3 | Sprinkle flour over beef; continue cooking until flour is absorbed. | | 4 | Add tomatoes, mace or nutmeg, salt and pepper. | | 5 | Stir well. | | 6 | Simmer 10 to 15 minutes. | | 7 | Serve over toast, biscuits, rice or pasta |
