| cup | SUGAR | | | EGG, BEATEN | | 1
| cup | APPLE, CHOPPED | | 3/4
| cup | WALNUTS, CHOPPED |

Procedures:
| 1 | Pour boiling water over dried apricots and let stand. | | 2 | Sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt and allspice. | | 3 | Add milk to apricot juice to make 2/3 c. beat the shortening adding sugar gradually. | | 4 | Beat in the egg. | | 5 | Add dry ingredients alternately with the liquid. | | 6 | Fold in the fruit and walnuts. | | 7 | Spoon into a greased and floured pan, 9xBake in 350f oven for 1 hour. | | 8 | Cool on rack |
