| cup | Raw apples, grated | | 1/2
| cup | Nuts, chopped |

Procedures:
| 1 | Beat shortening, sugar and eggs together until light and fluffy. | | 2 | Sift dry ingredients together; add alternately with grated apples. | | 3 | Add nuts. | | 4 | The batter will be stiff. | | 5 | Turn into greased and floured loaf pan. | | 6 | Bake at 350°F for about 1 hour |
