Ingredients:
2 tspWater
1 1/2 cupOatmeal
1 tspGinger, powder
1/4 lbsButter, unsalted
1/3 cupSugar, brown, dark
1/4 tspBaking soda
Procedures:
1Cream the butter; add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
2Dissolve the baking soda in the water and add, stirring well.
3Add the oatmeal and ginger, mixing well.
4The mixture should be fairly firm.
5If necessary, add a little more oatmeal.
6Knead lightly on a floured surface.
7Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
8Press the mixture in a buttered baking dish, about 8 x 12 inches.
9The dough should be about ?inch thick.
10Bake in the 300 degree oven for 35 minutes, or until brown on top.
11Cut into squares while hot
