Ingredients:

| x | Very Ripe Bananas | | 1/2
| cup | Shortening (butter) | | 3
| tbsp | Yoghurt or sour cream | | 1
| tsp | Baking soda | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1
| cup | Sugar | | 2
| x | Eggs | | 2
| cup | Flour * | | 1
| cup | Chopped walnuts (optional) |

Procedures:
| 1 | * i prefer whole wheat pastry flour (1) preheat oven to 350 °F. | | 2 | Cream the shortening and sugar. | | 3 | (2) mix in the bananas. | | 4 | (3) mix in the remaining ingredients. | | 5 | (4) pour into a greased loaf pan. | | 6 | (5) bake 1 hour 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. | | 7 | Notes: if you use more than 3 normal-size bananas, i suggest you lower the oven temperature and cook a while longer. | | 8 | Otherwise the crust comes out almost overcooked while the middle remains moist and almost undercooked |
