Ingredients:
6 lbsBeef brisket
1 tspSalt
1/2 tspPepper
1 tspMinced garlic
4 Medium onions, thinly sliced
2 cupWater, divided
16 ozTomato sauce
1/2 cupChopped onion
1/4 cupWorcestershire sauce
1/4 cupButter, melted
2 tbspLemon juice
2 tbspWhite vinegar
2 tspChili powder
1 tspMinced garlic
1/8 tspHot sauce
3 tbspCornstarch
Procedures:
1Trim excess fat from brisket and place fat side up in a roasting pan.
2Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic.
3Place onion slices over meat.
4Bake, uncovered, at 350°F for 1 ?hours.
5Combine 1 ?cups water, tomato sauce, and next 8 ingredients; pour over brisket.
6Cover with aluminum foil and bake 2 hours or until tender, spooning sauce over brisket occasionally.
7Transfer brisket to serving platter andpan juices to a saucepan.
8Combine cornstarch and remaining ?cup water.
9Gradually add to pan juices, stirring constantly.
10Bring to a boil; boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
