Ingredients:
1 eachEye roast of beef, 3-?to
-4 lbs
Shortening, melted
Salt and pepper
1/4 cupButter or margarine, melted
1/2 cupCatsup
1/4 cupBrown meat sauce
2 tbspWorcestershire sauce
Procedures:
1Place meat, fat side up, on a rack in a shallow roasting an.
2Brush with melted shortening; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
3Roast, uncovered, at 325 °F.
4For 30 to 35 minutes per pound for medium rare.
5Combine butter or margarine, catsup, meat sauce and worcestershire sauce; simmmer 10 minutes.
6Add to meat 30 minutes before end of roasting time.
7Make gravy, if desired, and serve with meat
