Barbecued beef round steak

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbsBeef round top steak
-cut ?inch thick
2 tbspCooking fat
Salt
Pepper
1/2 cupOnion, chopped
8 ozTomato sauce
1 cupHot water
1 Beef bouillon cube
1/4 cupBrown sugar, lightly packed
2 tbspVinegar
1 tbspWorcestershire sauce
Procedures:
1Cut meat for 4 servings.
2In a large skillet, brown meat on both sides in fat.
3Season with salt and pepper.
4Remove meat from pan and pour off fat drippings.
5Cook onion in drippings remaining in skillet until soft but not browned; stir often.
6Add tomato sauce, water, bouillon cube, brown sugar, vinegar, and worcestershire sauce.
7Return meat to skillet.
8Bring to a boil; reduce heat.
9Cover tightly and simmer for 1 hour, or until done.
10Turn meat once to cook it evenly throughout.
11Taste sauce and correct seasoning, if necessary, with salt and pepper.
12If sauce is a little thin, remove cover last few minutes of cooking
