Ingredients:

| lbs | Beef round top steak | | | -cut ?inch thick | | 2
| tbsp | Cooking fat | | | Salt | | | Pepper | | 1/2
| cup | Onion, chopped | | 8
| oz | Tomato sauce | | 1
| cup | Hot water | | 1
| | Beef bouillon cube | | 1/4
| cup | Brown sugar, lightly packed | | 2
| tbsp | Vinegar | | 1
| tbsp | Worcestershire sauce |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cut meat for 4 servings. | | 2 | In a large skillet, brown meat on both sides in fat. | | 3 | Season with salt and pepper. | | 4 | Remove meat from pan and pour off fat drippings. | | 5 | Cook onion in drippings remaining in skillet until soft but not browned; stir often. | | 6 | Add tomato sauce, water, bouillon cube, brown sugar, vinegar, and worcestershire sauce. | | 7 | Return meat to skillet. | | 8 | Bring to a boil; reduce heat. | | 9 | Cover tightly and simmer for 1 hour, or until done. | | 10 | Turn meat once to cook it evenly throughout. | | 11 | Taste sauce and correct seasoning, if necessary, with salt and pepper. | | 12 | If sauce is a little thin, remove cover last few minutes of cooking |
