Ingredients:
INGREDIENTS
2 lbsLean Ground Meat
1 1/2 cupBread crumbs
1 largeOnion, chopped
1 can(8 oz) Tomato Sauce
1 largeEgg
1 tbspMy Seasoning (follows)
1 medGreen Pepper, chopped
SAUCE
1/2 cupWater
3 tbspVinegar
3 tbspBrown Sugar
2 tbspPrepared Mustard
1 1/2 cupTomato sauce
2 tbspButter
Procedures:
1My favorite meatloaf recipe.
2Combine the beef, bread crumbs, onion, 8 oz tomato sauce, egg, my seasoning, and green pepper.
3Mix well and place in a loaf pan.
4Combine all sauce ingredients.
5Cook in a saucepan until butter melts.
6Pour sauce over meat loaf and bake at 350°F^.
7For 1 hour.
8While baking, the sauce needs to be spooned over the meat occasionally.
9Note: make sure you use a pan large enough for the meat and sauce, or the sauce will tend to boil over while it is cooking.
10My seasoning: mix 1 part garlic powder, 1 part onion powder, ?part black pepper.
11Mix well before measuring and adding to the recipe.
