Faux smoked salmon

Ingredients:
1 lbsSalmon, raw
2 tbspSugar
4 tbspSalt *
1 tbspHickory salt
Procedures:
1Mix sugar and salts together.
2Cover fish with this mixture and wrap in plastic wrap.
3Place in a plastic bag; tie; and put in dish in the refrigerator, meat side up, for two days.
4Turn the whole bag over and keep in the refrigerator for four more days.
5Wash off brine.
6Slice diagonally.
7* add more salt if desired.
8This recipe makes nova-type lox (smoked salmon)
