Lychee sherbet

Ingredients:
24 Lychees
1 packGelatin, unflavored
1/4 cupWater, cold
1/3 cupMilk
1/2 cupSugar
1/3 cupMilk
1 cupHalf and half
1 tspLemon juice
Procedures:
1Peel and seed lychees.
2Squeeze lychees through 2 thicknesses of cheesecloth to obtain 1 cup juice.
3Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let stand 5 minutes.
4Scald milk, add soaked gelatin, and stir until thoroughly dissolved.
5Add sugar, mixing well.
6Cool.
7Add milk and half and half.
8Stir in lychee and lemon juice.
9Freeze in ice cream freezer.
