Ingredients:

| | Onions, chopped | | 2
| | Chopped green peppers | | 1/4
| cup | Red wine | | 1
| | Juice of a lemon | | 1/2
| tsp | Basil, oregano, salt | | 1
| quart | Canned tomatoes, chopped fine |

Procedures:
| 1 | Pour canned tomatoes through a strainer or a colander to drain off some juice. | | 2 | You will need about 2 ?c of mostly drained tomatoes to make a thick salsa. | | 3 | Save the juice to use in soup or refried beans. | | 4 | Chop the tomatoes into small pieces. | | 5 | Mix all other ing. | | 6 | Into chopped tomatoes. | | 7 | Taste and adjust the seasonings. | | 8 | Let stand for about 30 min. so flavors can blend. | | 9 | This salsa will keep for 2-3 days in the refrigerator. ~- |
