Beans for burritos

Ingredients:
1 lbsPink beans
1 smallCan Ortega green chiles
-chopped
1 tspSalt
1 largeOnion, chopped
3 Cloves garlic
-minced/pressed
1/2 tspChili powder
4 tbspSalsa or to taste
Procedures:
1Soak the beans overnight, changing water several times.
2Put beans in crock-pot and cover with an inch or so of water.
3Add salt, onion, garlic, and chili powder.
4Cook on low until beans are soft (about 18 hours? i forget).
5When beans are cooked, ladle off and reserve some of the liquid from the top.
6Mash the beans well.
7(i never do this as well as i"d like; i"ve tried a potato masher and an empty iced-tea jar).
8Add reserved liquid as necessary for consistency.
9(i never have to add any, myself).
10Stir in the chopped chiles and the salsa; heat through
